About the event

This course brings fault seal analysis to reservoir engineers and asset teams responsible for development and production decisions, not just explorationists ranking prospects. Faults that never mattered at exploration stage often become the dominant control on recovery, injection performance, and reserves once a field is on production.

Participants learn to read fault seal behaviour from the data a producing field actually generates: pressure communication (or the lack of it) across faults, fluid contact movement, and the response of injection and depletion programs over time. The same SGR and membrane-seal tools used to risk prospects are recalibrated here against real production history.

The course works through case studies of compartmentalized fields and fields where injection performance revealed fault behaviour that exploration-stage risking had missed — building a practical framework for flagging compartmentalization risk before it costs recovery.
